I'm Keith Mangold, a vibe coding professional.
The story
A couple of years into the vibe coding era, I made a decision: I was going to stop just playing with AI tools and actually ship a real, production SaaS using them. Not a toy, not a demo. Software with real users, real money, real responsibility.
That software became VIBEPro.
It started because two friends of mine were drowning in paperwork trying to run a weekly open-air market. I built them a tool. Then I built it again, properly. Then I built it again, properly this time. Every step was vibe coded: me sitting next to Claude, talking through what needed to happen, shipping, learning, fixing, shipping again.
Today VIBEPro runs real payments for real vendors at real markets. It is the case study I show people when they ask whether vibe coding is "real."
I'm a software developer with 25+ years of background: banks, nonprofits, commercial businesses, the whole spectrum. I've written code the old way for a very long time. The shift to vibe coding hasn't replaced what I know about software development. It has multiplied it. That's the part most people miss.
